Welcome to the Tin Roof Cafeteria & Bakery

There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child. Well, it
takes a team of skilled people working to build our café, to realise
our vision and bring it all to life.

After 5 years of planning, formal approval was given in January 2023
and we finally started the build in February 2023. Moving forward,
with the inevitable challenges that have come our way, we are now
working hard on the final push to open in Spring 2024.

The vision is to create a space where everyone, including well-mannered dogs, can enjoy delicious home cooked food in a relaxed environment. Inside there will be plenty of tables or you can relax on a sofa in front of the fire with a coffee and a book! There will also be alfresco dining and the garden to explore. We will be operating as a walk-in café, so no booking required.

We are aiming to supplement the kitchen with vegetables and fruit
from the gardens and have a ‘patch to plate’ principle to create
seasonal specials throughout the growing season.

Along with our garden & poly tunnels there will be beehives onsite.

Our bees will help pollinate the garden and produce honey that will be used by our chefs and surplus will be available to buy.

The in-house bakery will produce fresh patisserie and cakes daily.
We will be using local suppliers where we can, to reduce food miles
as well as support local businesses.

We are installing Solar panels onsite, air sourced heat pump
and have a huge water tank to collect the rainwater for use on the
gardens. We will also be composting and recycling to reduce our
carbon footprint and support our environmentally friendly ethos.
